Tailoring window curtains, table, and computer covers for the St John’s School for the Deaf Lab. The environment can be so dusty, especially during the harmattan period. Prolonging the lives of the equipment is paramount, most importantly protecting the students from being uncomfortable during lessons.

Thomas Edison was totally deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other but thought of his deafness as a blessing in many ways. We used the students interested in engineering to fix the ceiling fan, with the supervision of an electrical appliance expert to enhance the students’ understanding of electricity in the real world. The fans will be tested on Tuesday to see if they will spin.

MCJSupport Org President and Project Director for DSP Muhammed Chuka Joof, daily supervision to make sure things are done right and encouraging more student and expert engagement for better understanding of carpentry, painting and electrical engineering.  

Ongoing laboratory maintenance, using an expert and working alongside the students of St Johns School for the Deaf. Starting with blocking the holes on the roof to prevent leakage during the raining season, ceiling, windows and then paint. The maintenance will be completed next week.
